Doha Metro is one of the biggest and the most challenging projects for H COM. In this project, H COM had designed and implemented one of the biggest idDAS solution in the world with 4 frequencies (from 400 MHz to 2700 MHz) and 3 technologies (TETRA, P25, LTE B7 and B20) through same passive DAS system for MOI, Qatar. This is a highly complex network spreading across all the 37 stations of Doha Metro phase-1, approximately 140 KM of connecting tunnels (2 bores of 70 KM) and 42 associated stabling yards and depots buildings of varying sizes.

Doha Metro being one of the most significant part of the Qatar’s vision of providing a high-quality transport medium for its citizens and residents, it required a very high public safety related technical requirements. The design was required to be fully resilient and robust to cater to the needs in case of any emergency. Therefore, the DAS network in Doha Metro has been designed with full redundancy with two control centers and each control center is capable to cater to the full network in case the other one is down.

Doha Metro uses very high-quality products to ensure the system has low losses and high PIM rating. All the indoor material was mandatory to be NFPA 130 (2014) compliant for fire safety.
